Join Us at the Philadelphia Flower Show

by Evelyn Alemanni

March 4-13, America in Bloom will again have a display garden at the Philadelphia Flower Show, America's oldest and largest indoor flower show, with more than 10 acres of display gardens under roof. The event is at the Philadelphia Convention Center.

This year, we are so grateful to the many sponsors and volunteers who are helping our garden become a reality. Proven Winners is sponsoring all the plant materials. The folks from Longwood Antique Woods are building a shed from reclaimed lumber right in the garden, and they're driving up all the way from Kentucky to do it. Celebrity designer Jon Carloftis of Jon Carloftis Fine Gardens and his partner Dale Fisher have donated the garden design. And GrowIt.com is creating a special app that will give our guests information about all the plants in the garden.

We wouldn't be able to have this garden without help from 41 volunteers (including AIB board members, judges, and people from participating towns) who are coming from 11 states to be in the garden each day. The outpouring of support is simply amazing and we are so grateful to each person who is donating time and talent to be at the show to help share the benefits of America in Bloom participation.
