As we come to a close of another calendar year and we consider the accomplishments of American in Bloom during 2012, it is important to remember that all of the benefits of AIB are made possible by the generous support of our AIB donors. They are the ones who make it possible in every respect. While each sponsor may have their own unique reason(s) for participating, one common realization is that America in Bloom is not just a beautification program. It is a QUALITY OF LIFE program that illustrates the value and relevancy of our industries products and services that is lacking so much today. I think they realize that AIB offers many economic benefits, as well as the benefits that go along with increased community involvement, bringing residents together on common goals, increased civic pride and true community spirit that results when everyone pitches in, decreased vandalism and crime, and the numerous environmental (eco-systems services) and health and well-being benefits that go along with being surrounded by flowers, shrubs, and trees in our municipal and residential environments.
